We are sure you can understand why eating and drinking are not permitted beyond the designated areas.

Museum members receive a 10% discount at the Panorama Café, Bistro Boréal and Café Express.

Panorama Café

Visiting the Museum? Work nearby? Access to the Café is effortless, from outside or inside the Museum! A wide range of breakfast, lunch, snack options, and take-out food are available.

You can access the Café from outside, using the Grand Stairway as you enter from Laurier Street, or via the elevators or escalators overlooking the prestigious Grand Hall. In summer months, you can dine on the outdoor terrace with its breathtaking view of Parliament Hill and the Ottawa River. In winter months, massive bay windows flood the room with light and offer a stunning view.

Monday to Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Looking for a reasonably priced, sit-down lunch with something for everyone?

Indulge in our fresh daily desserts, ice cream, fruit salad, fruits, yogourt and pastries from our Aspretto section.

Group Bookings

Panorama Café is available for student and tour groups visiting the Ottawa/Gatineau area and the Canadian Museum of History.

The Café can comfortably accommodate student and tour groups of 200 for breakfasts, lunch and dinner. During spring, summer and fall, your group can also enjoy Panorama Café’s terrace, with its breathtaking views of the Ottawa River and Parliament Hill.

The Panorama Café is available for private parties as well as student and tour groups, etc.

The Panorama Café can comfortably accommodate up to 160 for meals, business meetings or weddings. In summer, your group can also enjoy our terrace, with its breathtaking views of the Ottawa River and Parliament Hill.

Bistro Boréal

Looking for a quiet setting, with quick, attentive staff? You wish to gather colleagues or friends in a pleasant space? The Bistro Boréal is sure to cast its spell!

Bistro Boréal is located on Level 2 of the Museum, next to the CINÉ+.
